That was my last minute surprise: separate multis for cw and ssb!
What to do as a cw op without a microphone and any experience. Wait
for next year? I am not sure if I will get at any time used to phone
operation. It sounds really so much different to cw! Let's see what
to do with my participation in the qrp mixed category.
Anyway, it was again an enjoyable endeavour, however, it seemed that
something was worse (less qsos!) than last year; propagation,
participation or/and operator?

I was in a tent on a field and had so much fun. I used 5 Vertical antennas and one horizontal EFHW. My IC7610 with 100w did a god job. True diversity, the verticals (my TX/RX antennas on my left ear, and the EFHW on my right ear. No problems with QSB, if it was fading left it raises on the right. obwohl das ein legitimes Call ist (QRZ.COM), in DL sind ja sogar Calls mit 13 Stellen
erlaubt, warum kann das der Roboter nicht? Ich habe das Call auf 4V1SAVANN gekürzt,
ich hoffe das wird berücksichtigt, und nicht gestrichen.

TRX, fridge within reach. QSOs: 1107, CQing: 2200, RUN/S&P ratio:
539/568. 5-band QSOs with 24 stations. Emptied beer bottles: Five
or six, one of which was after the contest. The repaired+modified
32-year-old TS-850S held up well and the Windows contest program
TR4W also ran stably the entire time in a WINE/Debian-Linux system.

This was an interesting contest that I was able to participate in
for a little while for the first time this year. I spent most of
my time on 10 and 15 meters, which noise-wise were both
relatively quiet. I listened to a couple of US operators who were
running and decided that S&P would likely be more productive for
my wire antennas at low power. With patience, I was able to work
most of the stations I was hearing.

Nice endless runs on 14/21 MHz SSB with 3 stations per minute and

Die anfänglichen mäßigen condx dämpften zunächst meine Erwartungen bis
dann doch noch Freude aufkam. Am Sonntag hatte ich oft Freude mit
pile-ups, die den contest für DLs so attraktiv machen. Auch wenn ich
die Anzahl der QSOs vom Vorjahr nicht ganz erreichte ( zu lange
Pausen?), konnte ich mein Ergebnis durch mehr Multis auf den oberen
Bändern deutlich verbessern. Ende gut Alles gut! Es hat wieder viel
Spaß gemacht es awdh im nächsten Jahr!

Die neue Regel der Mixed Klasse ist meines Erachtens ein Zugewinn für den Contest. Auch wenn der CW Teil mir mehr liegt. Hat sehr viel Spaß gemacht. Das war mein bestes Ergebnis, den QSO Zahlen nach.
Mit etwas über 1900 QSO und 2.4 Mio Punkten bin ich mehr als zufrieden.

Hat wie jedes Jahr sehr viel Spaß gemacht und habe die vollen 24 Stunden genutzt. Anstrengend, aber hat sich gelohnt.
Conditions während des Contest waren gut, wenn man die Tage vorher als Vergleich heranzieht. Leider ist die Beteiligung aus USA nach meinem Gefühl stark zurückgegangen.
Insgesamt 75% Run und 25% S&P.
Betrieb in SO2R Manier. Antennenanlage besteht aus:
- 2 x 80m Dipol einmal 16m hoch und einmal 40m
- 2 el. Full Size Quad für 30 in Diamond Installation, Mitte ca. 30m über Grund
- Log Periodic Eigenbau 14 - 30 MHz ca. 30m über Grund
- 5 el. Monobander für 20m, 15m und 10m auf separaten Masten in 16 bis 20m Höhe

Es wird in CW immer schwieriger, da viele nur noch den PC benutzen und nicht mehr die Ohren!!!
Viele geben sehr verwaschen, sodass man mühe hat die Zeichen zu lesen oder zu hören!
Trotzdem hat es wieder Spass gemacht, und um vorne dabei zu sein muss man diesen WAG voll durchmachen mit wenig Pausen, das schaffe ich aber leider nicht!

Marginal condx here on the Atlantic Coast of Florida. 15m & 10m accounted for most of my 50 Qs. I ran about 2w from a QMX+ (CW only) to an 80-10m EFHW configured as a semi-circle up about 15 feet. Still waiting for solar max to kick in.

Wir (DM4EAX und DL4EAX) haben diesmal mit dem Rufzeichen des Jugendreferates Ruhrgebiet teilgenommen und konnten vielen ausländischen Teilnehmern mit dem DOK JR eine Freude machen.

Eigentlich wollte ich ja nicht, habe dann doch mitgemacht und 14 QSOs geloggt. Leider gibt es immer noch OPs, die die Ausschreibungen wohl nicht lesen. Da wird auf contestfreien Frequenzen Contestbetrieb gemacht oder UA-OMs fåhren im Contest-Bereich gemuetlich ihr "Orts-QSO" durch ... das ist nicht nett oder fair! Hat aber trotzdem jetzt Spass gemacht, da ich mit 10 Watt so einiges erreicht habe.
