of the noise. Conditions seemed much worse than last year and pretty
noisy. Here in the north I could not work stns which were easy ones

Thanks for the very, very nice contest. It was so much fun. I build 3 T2LT Antennas 10/15/20m. Each on one Spiderbeampole 18m high. for 40/80 two Marconi Antennas. All vertical. I build my 40m long EDFED Antenna invertet V on a 22m Spiderbeampole, highest point of the wire 21m - horizontal. (Big signals on 80m). Most of my contacts were on 10 and 15 meters CW. Unfortunately, I
wasted time listening for SSB contacts and made only three. I
should have stuck to CW where most of the stations were that I
could hear. All of my contacts were made on Saturday; almost all
were early afternoon. It was fun but as usual other things kept
things brief.

An beiden Tagen hatten wir Familienbesuch und eine Feier zu Hause,
also konnte ich den Betrieb nicht wirklich ernsthaft angehen. Es war eher
ein "Halbzeit"-Einsatz. Trotzdem gab es genug Herausforderung und Spaß,
um mich im Funkstuhl zu halten.
Nochmals vielen Dank an Gabriele (IT9RGY), der mir seine ferngesteuerte
SO1R-Station zur Verfügung gestellt hat.
Hoffentlich konnte ich einigen meiner deutschen Freunde
mit einem neuen Multiplier eine Freude machen! Es war schön, viele von Euch
nach längerer Zeit wieder "on the air" zu treffen.
Ein interessantes Detail: die meisten QSOs auf den höheren Bändern wurden
tatsächlich über Backscatter gemacht.
Die Woche selbst war etwas frustrierend, da ich sowohl meinen Erscheinen
auf der Istra Contest Conference (9A) als auch bei der World HST Championship in
Herceg Novi (4O) aufgrund einer sensiblen beruflichen Situation absagen musste.
Ich habe das Wiedersehen mit all den lieben Contestern und CW-Speed-Meistern
wirklich vermisst. Wir sehen uns hoffentlich bei den nächsten Veranstaltungen!
Ich freue mich darauf, Euch beim CQWW DX SSB wieder aus Palermo zu hören.
Aber das eigentliche Highlight des Jahres wird im November stattfinden,
